General

  • We do not collect any personally identifiable information (such as your email address) unless you explicitly provide it—such as during signup.
  • We collect a browser identifier to provide core functionality when using our browser extension.
  • We collect usage information to provide core product features, improve performance, diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, and enhance the user experience.
  • We do not use any collected data for advertising or tracking purposes.
  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • Our app complies with Apple's App Store privacy guidelines.

Marco and AI features

  • If you use Marco or other AI features, we may process your messages, learning context, saved content, language settings, and recent activity so the feature can respond and personalize your learning experience.
  • Marco may store memory connected to your account, such as inferred interests, rejected topics, and article interactions including articles mentioned, linked, or dismissed.
  • If you connect a messaging account, we store the account link between your Lingo Champion account and the messaging account identifier so Marco can recognize you in that messaging service. Supported messaging services may include Messenger, WhatsApp, or other chat platforms we add later.
  • If you send voice messages, we may process audio, audio metadata, and transcripts to understand and respond to your message.
  • AI, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, messaging, hosting, storage, payment, and email features may rely on service providers such as Meta/Facebook, OpenAI, Microsoft, and other infrastructure providers. These providers process data only as needed to provide the relevant service.
  • You should not send sensitive personal information through Marco, connected messaging services, or other AI features.

Browser Extension

  • The extension does not collect or store information about the websites you visit.
  • We do not save any text or translations from websites unless you explicitly take an action, such as saving a translation.
  • The extension is automatically disabled in incognito/private browsing mode.

User Rights

  • If you have submitted any personal data (e.g., during signup), you may contact us to request deletion or to inquire about the information we hold.
  • Deleting your account also deletes Marco memory and connected messaging account links associated with your Lingo Champion account.
  • We respect user privacy and comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where applicable.
