Download Babbel Vocabulary
Babbel does not provide an official export option for your vocabulary list.
But you can still manually extract your words with a bit of effort — either by copy-pasting from the Review Manager, or by using your browser’s Developer Tools to access the raw word list with metadata.
Once exported, you can save the words in a file or spreadsheet and use them anywhere: Anki, Excel, or import into Lingo Champion for flashcards, SRS practice, and reading support.
Why download your Babbel vocabulary?
- Keep a personal backup of your progress.
- Use your words in other apps for spaced repetition or practice.
- Filter texts and stories in Lingo Champion based on your Babbel knowledge.
How to Download Your Vocabulary
While Babbel does not provide a one-click export option, you can still manually download your vocabulary:
- Copy-paste from Review Manager (fast, but no metadata).
- Network tab method (slower, but keeps all stats and info).
Method 1: Copy-paste from the Review Manager
-
Log into Babbel and open the Review Manager:
https://my.babbel.com/review-manager/all -
Scroll through the list of learned items.
-
Select and copy the words (CTRL/CMD + A → CTRL/CMD + C).
-
Paste the words to Lingo Champion’s Babbel Vocabulary converter below.
-
Download the vocabulary as .CSV or copy-paste into Google Sheets, Excel, or a text file.
⚠️ Note: this method loses Babbel’s metadata (review counts, health, mistakes, etc.). You only get the plain words and translations.
Method 2: Extract via Network tab (includes metadata)
-
Open Babbel’s Review Manager:
https://my.babbel.com/review-manager/all -
Open Developer Tools in your browser (F12 or Right-click → Inspect → Network tab).
-
Reload the page and filter for requests containing:
learned_items
-
Click the request and switch to the Response tab.
You’ll see the JSON response with your vocabulary and metadata. -
Copy the entire JSON response.
-
Go to https://json-csv.com and paste the JSON into the tool.
Download the CSV and open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app.
Converting JSON to columns
To make the data usable in Excel or Google Sheets, convert it to CSV:
- Go to https://json-csv.com
- Paste your JSON into the box.
- Download the CSV file.
- Open it in Excel or Google Sheets → your Babbel words and metadata will be neatly arranged in columns.
Using Your Babbel Vocabulary in Lingo Champion
After exporting your words, you can bring them into Lingo Champion to extend their usefulness:
