Futurum perfektum (Future Perfect Tense)
The future perfect tense (futurum perfektum) in Norwegian describes actions that will have been completed by a certain point in the future.
Usage:
- To express actions that will have been completed by a future time: Innen i morgen har jeg fullført oppgaven. (By tomorrow, I will have completed the assignment.)
- To speculate about past actions: De vil ha kommet til festen før klokken 8. (They will have arrived at the party before 8 o'clock.)
Formation:
The future perfect tense is formed using the auxiliary verb å ha (to have) in the future tense and the past participle of the main verb.
