Formation

The future continuous tense is formed using "will be" + the -ing form of the main verb.

Usage

  1. Actions in Progress at a Specific Time in the Future: Describes actions that will be ongoing at a specific moment in the future.
    • At 8 PM tomorrow, I will be watching a movie.
  2. Planned or Expected Future Events: Used to describe events that are planned or expected to occur in the future.
    • They will be traveling next week.
  3. Polite Inquiries About Future Plans: Often used to politely ask about someone's future plans.
    • Will you be joining us for dinner?

Examples:

  • Affirmative: She will be working on her project all day tomorrow.
  • Negative: He won’t be attending the meeting next week.
  • Interrogative: Will they be staying at the hotel?
